Creation
In the beginning God made the heavens and the earth. God made the sun and the moon. Yes, all of the cosmos including the stars, planets and milky ways are the Creator's work. God also made every living thing: all animals, plants and man were made by God. God is the source of all life.

ParadiseParadise was a heavenly state, in which man was in direct contact with GOD
After God had created man, Adam and Eve lived in paradise. Man was created in God's image. But man was not equal to God. Paradise was a heavenly state of perfect bliss, in which man was in direct contact with God. Man was not aware of evil, did not know war, crime, grief, shame or guilt, not even sickness and death. All these things were simply absent. And man lived in complete freedom, with his own responsibility, a free will and in harmony with God.

The responsibility man received was to care for creation. God did not make man as a robot, whom He programmed to do the right thing. As a well does not control a river's course, man has set his own course and been able to choose to do right or wrong. What value would goodness contain if it were an automatic instead of a personal choice?

In paradise there were two special trees. One was the tree of life, the other the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. And God had told man that he could eat the fruits of all trees, except from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If he did eat from that tree, death would be the result.

Satan
The great sin is striving to be, or the idea to be equal or more than God. This striving ultimately always leads to doom.
There are angels in Heaven: they are God's servants. One of them was the angel of light. He was higher than all the other angels. Then something terrible happened. Despite his high status this angel had planned to get even higher, he wanted to be equal to God. His plan did not succeed, and he was thrown out of Heaven together with the angels who went along with him. He has been God's opponent since.

Even though he can to the present still present himself as an angel of the light, he is no longer a representative of the light but of darkness. The Bible says: "You have fallen out of Heaven now, morning star, son of dawn! For you said to yourself: "I shall storm Heaven and reign higher than the stars. I shall mount the highest throne. I shall climb into the highest heavens and be equal to the Most High. But instead, you will be thrown into the depths of death's realm". They were driven from Heaven. The great dragon, the old snake, also called devil or Satan, who seduces all people in the world, was thrown onto earth with his angels. The Bible warns us against false servants of Christ: "Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light. It is no wonder that his assistants present themselves as sincere servants of God. But in the end they will all receive the punishments they deserve for their misdeeds."

Sin
The devil continued his battle against God on earth and successfully seduced man to evil. He cunningly told man that eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil would not result in death, but that God by this command meant to prevent man from getting knowledge of good and evil and therefore becoming equal to God. Then Eve ate from the tree and let Adam eat from it in turn. Thus they committed the great sin of disobedience to God. They wanted to be equal to God.

The result
Sin was the end of paradise. At the same time this was the beginning of death like God had warned. This event, this great drama, is called the fall. Man was banned from paradise and could no longer eat from the tree of life. At that moment the earth became cursed and all evil things that we humans know came into the world: trouble, grief, unhappiness, illness, pain and death, lovelessness, hate and envy, egotism, discontentedness, addiction, lies and deceit, crime, terrorism, wars and disasters.

The solution
God is so infinitely good that he will not let his creation down, even though man has ruined it for himself. By his sinful nature man cannot undo his great fault. Yet the debt must be paid, if there is to be a solution. God is good and just. At the moment of the fall God began a plan for restoration. He announced the destruction of the devil by a descendant from Eve. This descendant is the Lord Jesus. He would take on man's debt, and bear punishment for it. This happened through the crucifixion on Golgotha, by which the Lord Jesus cleared the way for us to come to God again. The definitive destruction of the devil will take place when God makes a new heaven and a new earth.
That God does not end it all immediately means grace. For until that time everyone who believes in God can be freed from sin through the suffering and death of the Lord Jesus. The Bible says: "But whoever keeps sinning, proves that he belongs with the devil who acted even so. But the Son of God has come to put an end to the devil's actions."

The Lord Jesus
He is the Son of God come to earth to bear our debts and conquer death. He voluntarily died for us on the cross. But after three days he rose from death and now he is in Heaven to speak on our behalf and prepare a place for us.

And now?
Through the conciliatory blood of the Lord Jesus anyone who believes in God can come to God again. He has said: "I am the Way, the Truth and Life, no one comes to the Father than through Me." The last part of the Bible states that the Lord Jesus feeds the believers from the tree of life, that stands in the center of God's paradise.
